Nurse Practitioners
Angie Bennetts
Justine Smith
The Clinical Team has been enhanced to provide two experienced Nurse Practitioners. One specialises in chronic disease management and the recall of Patients needing ongoing monitoring of their condition, and the other specialises in same day minor ailments such as colds, coughs, etc. These professionals are intended to support the workload of the Practice Doctors (and are able to prescribe where appropriate).
Practice Manager
Teresa Kemp
Our Practice Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the surgery, and administration of the Practice. If you have any enquiries or comments (good or bad) about the surgery, then please pass these to the Practice Manager who will be pleased to see you.
It is difficult for reception staff to deal effectively with complaints in the reception area, so if you feel dissatisfied with the quality of service you receive, please ask to speak to the Practice Manager.
Nursing Department
Julie Kite
Geraldine Harper
Andrea Shannon
Our highly trained and experienced team of Practice Nurses run daily surgeries by appointment. They are supplemented by help from Phlebotomists (medical professionals who specialise in taking blood samples) and Health Care Assistants (HCAs) who also run their own appointment lists for their departments. The nursing department receives Patient specimens for onward transport to Treliske laboratories.
Please note that all specimens should be in the supplied containers and clearly labelled with names, dates of birth and time of specimen. Please note that specimens on the whole need to be received by 1230 to be on the last collection to Treliske for the day.
Receptionists
When telephoning for medical attention the Receptionists will ask for a few details. This information is then used to ensure that your appointment is made with the right clinician. The details you give only need to be brief and are then passed on to the clinician at the time the appointment is booked. Please be assured that the rules of confidentiality apply equally to all staff. Our team of receptionists will help you at all times in the surgery to ensure you obtain the best treatment with the most appropriate clinician available.
