Facilities

The Surgery was purpose built in 1990 and ensures ground floor access to all consulting rooms, thus assisting the disabled and parents with pushchairs. On the right as you enter the waiting room we have standard and disabled toilet facilities, as well as a dedicated baby changing area.

Our waiting room is open plan with a television message board and fish tank. We also supply a range of magazines to appeal to the majority of tastes. A section of the waiting area is set aside for our younger patients with some play items. One section of seating is slightly higher than normal and is set aside for those with mobility problems.

The Practice has a portable hearing loop for those who have a hearing aid. This is located in the main reception area. Please ask the receptionist on duty if you wish to use it during your consultation with a doctor.

An automated arrival system allows you to book in as “arrived” to save you waiting at the reception desk, if you wish to use it.

A Chaperone will be offered where appropriate for intimate examinations.

A wheelchair is available for loan whilst on our premises.

If you need a confidential discussion with a receptionist, please ask to use the interview room we have set aside for this purpose.

Translation for patients who do not speak English can be arranged by appointment.
